Andrew Stroscher

Andrew Stroscher is someone who wanted to know more about cars. A lifelong gear-head, he had his opinions, and knew the basics, but Andrew is a history nut. MotorPurist was created to give Andrew an excuse to read more about cars.

When Andrew isn’t talking about cars, he’s talking too much about video games on his game-lore blog, Loregy. By day, Andrew Stroscher works as a screenwriter while dabbling in voice-acting, developing his iOS app, and growing carnivorous plants.

If you wish to contact Andrew, please feel free to do so. Andrew enjoys blathering about cars and will likely do so when he hears from you.

Andrew Stroscher has a Twitter feed he sometimes updates. He also has a Facebook page, as well as a Google+ profile.

Andrew has written 5 articles for Loregy.

Chasing down The Beast

In 2009, while President Obama was in China, some lunatic decided it’d be a great idea to zoom past the motorcade and pull up alongside the President’s limo.  That limo, known as “The Beast” is a veritable tank, but it’s those Suburbans you really want to stay away from.  The first video shows this idiot’s […]

Unlike any Viper before it, this new one is a corporate cousin of the current Ferraris (and Maseratis) you […]

The Tripoli Grand Prix

One of my absolute favorite races, the Tripoli Grand Prix looks like something straight out of an Indiana Jones film.  Check out the cars being unloaded from their ships, and be sure not to miss what happens at 6:58. This is an era when automotive racing teams were considered de-facto representatives of their native countries. […]

Bertha Benz – Mother of the Automobile

This isn’t your typical “behind every great man there is a woman” story where we gush over some famous guy’s wife who did little more than cheer him on.  No.  Bertha Benz, all on her own, was an amazing individual and without question deserves the title of “Mother of the Automobile”. When Bertha was 10, […]

I’m finishing up a few things behind the scenes, but I think we’re ready for our first post!  Coming up later this week, I’ll be starting out with one of the two stories that made me want to create this blog in the first place.  Beyond that, expect plenty of  photos, videos, and other car-related […]
